5 BEST MINIMALIST APPS

There are lots of apps out on the market, that can really help you to live a more minimal life. But which ones to choose, when there are so many options out there and you're trying not to clutter your phone screen unnecessarily? No need to look any further because I got you covered!

1. Goodby Pen & Paper
The first app on my list has got to be a MinimaList. It is a beautiful and elegantly designed list-making app, that allows you to write down all the tasks that you need to take care of. It also allows you to set a timer for your tasks. As soon as you have started a certain task, you will be reminded to continue in case you pick up your phone. So it is a great way to help you stay focused.

2. Mindfulness made easy
The third app on my list is headspace. If you are into meditation, or just curious about it and don't quite know where to start you should really check out Headspace. All the different meditation techniques are explained in great videos. The app really helps you to make a habit out of meditation through their interesting courses. The subscription is a bit pricey, to be honest, but you can check out their first 10 lessons for free. And you can also repeat those three lessons as often as you want until you've got the hang of it.

3. Paperless banking
N26 is a mobile banking app, that is the epiphany of paper free end minimalist innovation. It is so simple and easy to use, has a great interface and wonderful usability. If you are living in Europe, you should really consider switching to N26 and save yourself all the bank related paperwork.

4. Audio Backdrop
Another great app to check out is Noisli. It allows you to mix different noises and to create your own background sound. It is perfect to boost your concentration when you are either in a too quiet environment or surrounded by loud noises. Just imagine that you could blend all the noise from the loud people on the train out by listening to soft waves brushing the shore. Noisli can give you that! It also has a built-in text editor, which is super minimalistic as well and allows you to focus only on your writing.

5. Journaling simplified
If you would like to journal but can't seem to make a habit out of it, you can check out Day One. It is a simple app, that not just allows you to write down as much as you want, but also gives you the possibility to take pictures instead. This way you can have a beautifully curated photo diary in one app.

Bonus
Another great journaling app and the bonus of this blog post is
Grid Diary. If you are never sure what to write into your diary then this one could be perfect for you. Grid Diary has lots of prompts and questions preinstalled, so that you don't have to think about what to write, but can just get started instead. You can also edit those prompts and exchange them for your own ones. Grid Diary makes it super easy for you to reflect on whatever it is you want to journal about.
